SVLive1 sends data outlined into Serraview's data centre over an authenticated HTTPS channel.
Only a read-only public community string is needed to communicate to the switches. The same information collected is also available without passwords via Cisco Discovery Protocol.
Any community strings are stored encrypted on the MLS server.
Community strings and internal admin passwords are not sent to Serraview.
Serraview is subject to stringent security checks and annual penetration tests.
