Overview
Clients often request extra custom fields to store additional data. These fields can be used to manage the following:
- Car Park e.g. car model, registration, car park expiry date.
- Desk information for individual occupants e.g. phone number, second line phone number, phone types, fixed IP address, dual monitors, headsets.
Many of Serraview's forms will include an area for custom fields. The data in the custom fields can be included in reports and imports. If you need assistance with incorporating custom fields into reports and imports, then contact the Serraview Support team.

Manage Custom Fields
Before you add custom fields, you need to understand:
-
Entities - Every custom field is linked to an entity (this is a data table).
-
Data Types - The custom fields can contain free text fields or drop-down lists. Many other data types can be created for custom fields including check boxes, dates, multi-select, and single select.
For more information, refer to Custom Fields Prerequisites.
After you have created the custom fields, you can edit, rename, or delete custom fields. For more information, refer to Manage Custom Fields.
