Engage Configuration Introduction

There are several Engage settings some have been set up during implementation and may only need to be changed infrequently. The Engage Introduction video below takes you through the important settings.

Engage Configuration - Change Desk Booking Access

You may need to change the Engage Desk Booking Access either to take a desk offline because it has an issue or construction is occurring nearby OR you may want to change multiple desks booking access in bulk.

Engage is undergoing continuous releases and you will see configuration settings appear in Serraview that may not yet be implemented. To keep you up-to-date with the implemented settings the Engage Configuration Matrix article lists out Engage settings and links to the relevant articles.

 Configure Employee Privacy - Use this to learn how to opt-out an employee from Engage's search and how to give your employees the ability to opt-out from the search from Engage Mobile or Engage Web. Also, if needed you can disable a person's contact information so that it is hidden on the person's card.

 

 Configure Floors, Space Types, and Floorplans - Use this to learn how to set up which building and floors are visible in Engage, set up which spaces are Hidden, Visible, or Interactive on the floorplan, and choose the style of floorplans either architectural or stylized.

 

 Configure Filters - Use this to learn how to set up filters for Space Types and Equipment and the Person of Interest filters so your employees can quickly find their first responders.

 

 Configure Branding - Use this to learn how to opt-out an employee from Engage's search and how to give your employees the ability to opt-out from the search from Engage Mobile or Engage Web. Also, if needed you can disable a person's contact information so that it is hidden on the person's card.

 

 Configure Concierge Menu - Use this to learn how to set up the concierge menu and remember we have a gallery of menu images that you can use.

 

 Configure COVID Compliance - Use this to learn how to set up the daily limits for a building and the book safe settings at a global level or building level.

 

 Configure Desk Reservations - Use this to learn about the settings for desk reservations from all-bookings or interval bookings to auto-cancellation of bookings.

 

 Configure Space Reservations - Use this to learn how to set up the space reservations with a Calendar Integration OR without a Calendar Integration.

Other Settings


  • Add Photography for Employees and Spaces - The photography is optional and if you do have photos of them the employee's initials display and for a space the default icon displays.
  • Set up the Chat Integration - If your company is using Microsoft Teams then your System Administrator can set up the integration so your employee can start a Teams call or chat.
  • Disable an Engage Application - If your business will only use Engage Mobile or Engage Web then your System Administrator can disable the other application.
