Set up Engage Web in Kiosk mode using Microsoft Edge

Prerequisites
- Microsoft Windows 10/11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education
- Microsoft Edge installed and up-to-date
- Engage Web URL for example: https://engage.spaceiq.com/kiosk_mode
Step 1. Create a Local Kiosk User Account (Assigned Access)
- Navigation to Settings > Accounts > Other Users and the Microsoft account dialog displays.
- Click the I don't have this person's sign-in information link.
- Click the Add a user without a Microsoft account link.
- In the Who's going to use this PC? field, enter a username. For example KioskUser.
- Optional - If you want it secure, then enter a password.
Step 2. Set Up Kiosk Mode (Assigned Access)
- Navigate to Settings > Accounts > Other users.
- Scroll down to Set up a kiosk heading.
- Click the Get started button an the Choose an existing account dialog displays.
- Select the existing local account. For example, KioskUser.
- Click the Next button and the Choose a kiosk app dialog displays.
- From the list of apps, select Microsoft Edge.
- Click the Next button and the "How will this kiosk be used?" displays.
- Select the As a digital sign or interactive display option.
- Click the Next button and the "Enter your website URL" displays.
- In the URL field, enter the Engage URL. For example, https://engage.spaceiq.com/kiosk_mode
- Click the Next button and the "You're done!" displays.
- Click the Close button.
- Click the Save button.
Step 3. Test Kiosk Mode
- Sign out of your current user session.
- From the sign in screen, select the KioskUser account. Windows will launch Microsoft Edge automatically and load the Engage Web URL.
- Now you can sign into the Engage as a Kiosk User Account; see Set up the Engage Kiosk User Role and Profiles.
Notes:
- While in Kiosk Mode, there will be no access to desktop, taskbar, or other applications.
- To exit the kiosk mode, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and select the Sign out.
