Set up Desk Reservation Permissions

The settings can be updated in bulk and examples are listed below:

Region
When you have a group of buildings in a region and you want employees to reserve a desk in any of the buildings.

Building
When you have a building and you want employees to reserve a desk on any floor.

Floor
When you have a floor and you want employees to only reserve a desk on a particular floor.

Cost Center
When you want your employee with the cost center (or child cost centers) to book a space, for example, desk or meeting room. Also, when a space is allocated to a neighborhood then any person within the teams' cost center (or child cost centers) can book a space.

Team or Neighborhood
When you want your employees to reserve any desk in their allocated team and/or neighborhood blocking.

Employee to Reserve their Desk
Maybe you have an employee who has a particular ergonomic desk or they work with sensitive data. If you have an employee who requires an assigned desk, then you can set the desk booking access so only they can reserve the desk.

Everyone
By default the Booking Access permission for desks is set to Everyone, therefore if you want all your employees to reserve any of the desks you don't need to complete this task.
This setting is useful when have the Booking Access permission set on the desks for teams, neighborhoods, assigned desks, etc and you want to specify several desks as hot desks. These hot desks can be used by visitors to the office. If you want to refine your hot desks further then see the settings below on how to restrict the desk reservation to visitors from other regions, other buildings, or other floors.

Visitor to Region
Use this setting when you want to let employees from other regions reserve the desks. This is useful when you have the Booking Access permission set on the desks for teams, neighborhoods, assigned desks, etc and you want to specify several desks as hot desks.

Visitor to Building
Use this setting when you want to let employees from other buildings reserve the desks.
