Using the Bulk Update Module

You can use this instead of an import, however, it is important to understand what fields can be updated using the Bulk Update.

People

The following fields can be updated in bulk:

Setting Learn More about the Setting

Work From Home 

If you have an employee who works from home then you can update the employee's status.

Opt-out of SVLive 

SVLive

If you have an employee that requires not be found in SVLive, System Administrator can opt-out of the employee.

Opt-out of Engage 

Engage

If you have an employee that requires not be found in Engage, your System Administrator can opt-out of the employee from Engage's search. See Opt-out an Employee from Engage's Search.

Archive if not present in Import 

Learn more about Archive Candidates in Archive or Reject People on the Archive Candidates List.

Chat Type 

The chat type, for example, MS Teams or Slack.

You can apply a special role tag to a person to indicate they have a requirement such as OHS Requirement, Needs a sit-to-stand desk, Needs dual monitors. Or you can apply a tag to a person to indicate they have a special role such as Fire Warden, First Aid Officer, or Floor Warden.  See Add or Remove a Special Role or Tag on a Person.

Supported Custom Fields

Any custom fields that have been set up against your people data to record additional data relevant to your business. See Custom Fields.

Space

The following fields can be updated in bulk:

Notes 

Note about the space, see Space Details From.

Space Attributes 

Add, edit, or remove the space's attributes, see Add or Remove the Space's Attributes.

Tags 

Tagging is an labeling system for entities in Serraview and we recommend that you use these for internal reporting. Tags are used to categorize items in several different ways. See the Space Details From.

Reserve From and Reserve To 

You will be able to specify a Reserve From date or the Reserve To date for when a desk is available to be reserved. Learn more in Limit a Space's Reservation by Date

Reserving Enabled

Check Reserving Enabled check box for the space to be reserved through Engage or Locator.

Engage

If you are using Engage, see Configure Desk Reservations and Configure Space Reservations.

Locator

If you are using Locator, see Configure Locator Space Reservations.

Booking Access 

Set the Booking Access to configure who is allowed to reserve the space.

Engage

Teams

The following fields can be updated in bulk:

Administrator Comments 

Administrator comments, see Team Details Form,   and these comments will display in Workplace's Team Workplace's Team Administrator Comments field, see Confirm Team Validation.

Tags

Default Target Ratio and Default check box

Remember the default target ratio is set in Portfolio and the Building or Floor and you can learn more in Set the Target Ratios. These are set by your System Administrator however you can change the target ratio for a Flexible Team in bulk or for a single team. See Change Flexible Team's Target Ratio.

Workplace Administrator 

Displays your administrators. See Team Details Form and another way to manage your Workplace Administrators in bulk and send out invitations, see Workplace Administration.

Storage Administrator 

Displays your administrators. See Team Details Form.

BOS Corodinator 

Displays your administrators. See Team Details Form.

Technology Coordinator 

Displays your administrators. See Team Details Form.

Support Custom Fields


The custom fields that are supported are:

  • Boolen (For example, a check box)
  • DateTime
  • Decimal
  • Entity - Single & Multi-Select (For selected entities only that are supported in Serraview such as Building, Floor, Neighborhood, Org Unit, Person, and Reference Value)
  • Integer
  • Keyword - Single & Multi-Select
  • Text
