Data used in a BOS Move Plan is a combination of the following:
business as usual data - this is from the Production (Live) environment.
move data - this is collected as part of the move process in the BOS Move Plan.
The Corporate Real Estate team will need to make sure the data is accurate and up-to-date before they populate the BOS Move Plan.
It is important that your know where your source of truth for occupancy is when you start your BOS Move Plan. Therefore before using BOS check that the Block and Stack (VBS) is update-to-date.
If you have a Validation process in place (see Workplace Portal), then we recommend this is placed on hold for the teams involved in a relocation. Consequently, the Migration Manager will only need to update the person's current location in BOS Move Plan (and not both Workplace and BOS Move Plan).
Future Floorplans
Corporate Real Estate teams sometimes need to plan moves before new floorplans have been loaded into Serraview. See Use BOS with Future Floorplans.
Destination Restrictions
This lets you limit the search results so that the BOS Migration Managers will not get results for every building when selecting a workstation. See Set Destination Restrictions.
