Edit a Retention Status via the Configuration module

Level: System Administrator

There are several factors to consider when you edit a retention status after it has been in use in Workplace. The most common are:

New State

Impact

Enabled

Disabled

The retention status applied will remain on existing workpoints where it has already been applied, however it will no longer appear as a Retention Status option for Workplace Administrators.

Disabled

Enabled

The Retention Status becomes available for Workplace Administrators.

Does not require comments

Requires Comments

All workpoints formerly displayed as valid (or "green") will turn red and be included in the 'Desks That Require Action' list against the team in Workplace.

Requires comments

Does not require Comments

All workpoints formerly displayed as valid (or "red") will turn green and be removed from the 'Desks That Require Action' list against the team in Workplace.

Named "XXX"

Name change to "YYY"

The Retention Status applied will change its name.

You can edit a retention status.

  1. Navigate to Configuration > General > Retention Statuses.
  2. Search for the retention status.
  3. Click the Retention Status to be edited. The edit form displays.
  4. Edit the details.
  5. Click the Update Retention Status button.
