How SVLive Wi-Fi Works
The Utilization Technology called SVLive Wi-Fi can be used when you want to understand the employees' behaviors and to understand the people statistics for a floor, neighborhood. This lets you see who (which teams) is using the floor, neighborhood. This is accurate to the minute of utilization, aggregated across neighborhood or floor, Wi-Fi triangulation limits reporting at the individual workpoint.

Wi-Fi access points or WAPs, shown in blue, are typically installed in a grid pattern. The more WAPs the better the bandwidth and coverage on a floor.
The laptop, shown in pink, is running the Serraview Presence Service, which is known as SPS. The SPS can determine that three different WAPs are within range.
Each WAP has a signal strength, mostly based on proximity. For example:
- (1) WAP has a 95% signal strength
- (2) WAP has 75% signal strength
- (3) WAP has 50% signal strength
If there aren't enough access points on the floor, we will only be able to triangulate the person's location to somewhere on the floor.
When there are fewer WAPs triangulation confidence diminishes; WAPs can be easily added to provide for better coverage and triangulation
Remember that the WAPs don't have to be expensive or connected to the corporate network to provide triangulation data. Cheap WAPs can provide equal value.
