Locator evaluates the status of a desk based on the last message it received from the LDM. There can be short delay between a user actively using a desk, LDM sending a new message, the message being processed by Managed Location Service (MLS) and then being fed through to Locator.
A person must be actively using the laptop/desktop computer (for example mouse/keyboard movement). If they are:
sitting at a desk but not have used their laptop/desktop computer for a few minutes, then they will display as 'away'.
using a laptop without connecting via an ethernet cable or a docking station, but still logged in on their desktop, then they will display as 'away'.
