Is activity detected if a device is plugged in via an ethernet cable?

Yes - go to the next question. 

No - complete the checks:

  • Is the device plugged directly into the network port?

  • Is the device plugged directly into a laptop docking station?

  • Is the device connected to a laptop docking station via a USB-C cable?

Is activity detected at the correct desk?

Yes - end process.

No - complete the checks:

  • Is the device plugged directly into the network port?

  • Is the device plugged directly into a laptop docking station?

  • Is the device connected to a laptop docking station via a USB-C cable?
