Add by Workpoint into a Multi-Phase BOS Move Plan

You can add by workpoint to populate the person or people into into a multi-phase BOS Move Plan.It is important to understand the behavior when you add a workpoint which has a reference to a previous phase or when you add a workpoint which has no reference to a previous phase.

Workpoint Referenced in Earlier Phase

If the Workpoint is referenced in an earlier Phase and the workpoint is added to Phase 2 then the reference will be used.

  • In Phase 1, Elizabeth is moving from 9.1 to 9.2.
  • In Phase 2, the workpoint 9.2 is added with Elizabeth as the occupant (from Phase 1 data) and the moves are linked.

Workpoint Not Referenced in Earlier Phase

If the workpoint is not referenced in an earlier phase when it is added then the Live VBS data is used.

  • In Phase 1, there are no references to 9.3.
  • In Phase 2, the workpoint 9.3 is added and the BOS Occupant is the occupant Paul from the Live VBS.

Also, this applies to a BOS Occupant in a previous phase where they are set to Occupant Not Moving.

Workpoint has an Occupant in the Live VBS

This example demonstrations:

Workpoint has an Occupant in the Live VBS

If the workpoint is referenced in an earlier phase AND the occupant has not been referenced in an earlier phase then a separate move row will be added.

  • In Phase 1, Elizabeth is moving from 9.1 to 9.2.
  • In Phase 2, the workpoint 9.2 is added with Elizabeth as the occupant (from Phase 1 data) and the moves are linked. Also, a separate move row is added for James as he is the current occupant of 9.2 and he is not referenced in earlier phases.
