Join with Like Shapes
Remember if you are using the Floorplan Importer do not edit shapes as this will interfere with the floor's ability to be exported and imported from AutoCAD in the future.
It is important to remember that you can only join the same space types together.
In this example, the space type Primary Circulation is added and we use the following:
- Overwrite Other Shapes to over write the space called Breakout / Collaboration Area.
- Join with Like Shapes to join the new Primary Circulation shape with the existing Primary Circulation shape.
From the Spaces module, complete the following:
- Click the Edit Floor icon.
- Click the Add Polyline
icon. The Add Polyline panel displays. - From the Select a Space Type selector, either browse to a space type or search for a space type. For example, Primary Circulation.
- From the shapes option button, select Rectangle or Custom Shape.
- Click the Overwrite Other Shapes toggle to turn it on.
- Click the Join with Like Shapes toggle to turn it on.
- On the floorplan, draw the rectangle shape.
The shape is drawn on the floorplan and you can publish this change.
