Overview

The Space Type Hierarchy Import is used to create space types in the space types hierarchy.

View the Space Type Hierarchy Columns

Before you create an Space Type Hierarchy Import, review the columns in the import.

  1. Navigate to Admin Settings > Data Imports > Data Imports.
  2. Click the Space Type Hierarchy Import link.

Column Details and Requirements

For details on the columns and the Data Dictionary, refer to Requirements for Space Type Hierarchy.

We recommend that you delete any columns that are not being used in the import.

Default Color and Color Fields

  • Click the Use Default Color and Color link to view the color field columns.

Prepare an Import File

There is no Import Report for the Space Type Hierarchy Import, therefore you will need to prepare the Import File. The Requirements for Space Type Hierarchy details what is expected in the columns.

You can prepare an import file from:

Remember to remove unnecessary cells and worksheets:

  • Remove additional tabs, even if they are blank. If you have more than one worksheet (tab) in your file, the file will not be read.
  • Remove all empty border columns and rows.
