Use Locator (SVLive) via kiosk, laptop or desktop

You can use Locator with SVLive to find and book a space or desk, and find a person.

Find and book Space via kiosk, laptop or desktop


To find a space in which to have a meeting or collaborate with colleagues, use Find a Space.

  1. Click the worddavc95c78a7faa8980755f1d949636a4ba2.png icon to access the Find a Space tool.
  2. Select the building & floor you want to find a space in. All shared spaces that are currently available are displayed in green. Any spaces unavailable will be gray.

Locator will display, with collapsible legend in the bottom left.

  1. Click worddavcb09af5e7037b76b5467c22d12d709aa.png to expand the Filter panel. If you know the space name you can use the search field to type it in. Results will display underneath your filter panel, first displaying the results on your current floor, then results in other locations.

2. Select a Free For option button to select a time period for your booking.

3. Drag the Capacity slider to choose the capacity of the space.

4. If you are looking for a specific space type, expand the Types of Space checklist and make your selection. Results will display underneath your filter panel, first displaying results on your current floor, then results in other locations.

5. If you are looking for a specific attribute for a space, expand the Space Attributes checklist and make your selection.

6. Results are display at the bottom the search/filter panel, defaulting to display results on your floor first, then other locations. You can click on the results here to be taken to results on other floors. Click on the available space to select it.

7. Choose the length of time you want to book it for.

8. Click the Reserve button.

9. The space will be reserved for the duration of time requested.

Find a Desk via kiosk, laptop or desktop


  1. Click worddav60e525a2d7a707221f0a4e7d36640bf4.png icon to access the Find a Desk tool.
  2. Select the building and floor you want to search.
  3. The floorplan will display, with all workpoints gray. This is because using Manual occupancy data we cannot see which desks are available and unavailable in real-time.

If you want to see who is already in an occupied desk, zoom in on the floorplan and click on the desk to see their details.

4. Click worddav605bc6205bee0c226815d55ebcab894c.png to expand the Filter panel. If you know the workpoint number, you can use the search field to type in all or part of the desk number. Results will display underneath your filter panel, first displaying results on your current floor, then results in other locations.

5. If you are looking for a specific desk type, expand the Types of Space field and make a selection. Results will display underneath your filter panel, first displaying results on your current floor, then results in other locations.

6. If you are looking for a specific desk attribute, expand the Space Attributes field and make a selection. Results will display underneath your filter panel, first displaying results on your current floor, then results in other locations. The example below displays where we have filterer by Space Type and Space Attribute.

Reserve Desk via kiosk, laptop or desktop

  1. To reserve a desk, navigate to the building and floor using the steps above.
  2. Click on an available desk and click Reserve this Desk. This will make the desk unavailable on Locator for a short period to enable you to walk to the reserved desk and sign in. This time period is usually 5 minutes; however, this time period can be configured.

3. Make your way to the desk and log into your corporate network.

4. If you want to cancel the reservation, click on the workpoint again and click Cancel Reservation.

Find a Person via kiosk, laptop or desktop


You can search for a colleague by name, employee number, email or even phone number, depending on the way Locator has been configured for your business.

  1. Click the Find a Person worddav9b8caf63eff8158f4d90454d8241d032.png icon.
  2. Navigate to the building and floor you want to investigate. If the workpoint is dark blue, the person occupying the desk is active. If it is light blue, they are away. Gray workpoints do not currently detect a person in the location. From this view you can click on a workpoint to view who is sitting at a desk, including when they were last seen.

3. Click the Search worddavb101056c3c02ef2bf571deaf76921e64.png icon to expand the Search and Filter panel. This will list all people currently on the floor. Users with the worddav561176b6532010b6a63a81e98d647455.png icon to the right of their name are currently using Wi-Fi.

4. You can either scroll and choose from this list or use the search field to begin typing a person's name. The results will firstly list all the colleagues active on the current floor that match, then list colleagues in other or unknown locations that match your search criteria.

If the person is using multiple devices, for example laptop and mobile, then they will display in the search results with multiple locations.

5. Click on a user to see them highlighted on the floorplan. Below are some examples of how people will be displayed.

  • Person using docking station

  • Person assigned to Flexi team / Neighborhood which is not blocked to specific workpoints on floor
