Limit Concurrent Bookings
Level: System Administrator / Serraview Implementation Team
Your System Administrator can set the number of desk reservations an employee can make that overlap in the Concurrent desk reservations field.
If the setting is 0, then the limit concurrent bookings are disabled for users who do not have the secured action called Reservations - Bypass concurrency limit.
If you want to limit concurrent bookings, then update the setting to 1 or higher for users who do not have bypassed secured action.
Global Settings
Set up Concurrent Desk Reservations in Engage Configuration
The default setting for all your buildings is global, so you only need to complete the Engage Configuration settings.
Complete the following:
- Navigate to Admin Settings > System Config > General > Engage Configuration.
- Click the Bookings Setup tab.
- In the Concurrent desk reservations field, enter the number of concurrent bookings. For example, if it is 2, then you can make 2 overlapping bookings. In this situation, you can make a booking at 9:00 am to 10:00 am and a booking from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.
- Click the Update button.
Building Settings
Set up Concurrent Booking Limit for a Building
You can set this up if you have different Concurrent Booking Limit requirements for your different buildings.
Complete the following:
- Navigate to Resources > Buildings & Floors.
- Click on the building. The building details displays.
- Click the Edit button. The Update Building dialog displays.
- Uncheck the Global check box.
- In the The Concurrent Booking Limit field, enter the number of concurrent bookings. For example, if it is 2, then you can make 2 overlapping bookings. In this situation, you can make a booking at 9:00 am to 10:00 am and a booking from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.
- Click the Update building button.
