Why is 'Unknown Person' displaying at a desk?
Sometimes a desk will be occupied in Locator, but instead of a person's name it displays 'Unknown Person'. We do not want to display the desk as empty, so instead the desk shows it as occupied by the 'Unknown Person'.
When using Locator with SVLive
This can be caused by a variety of reasons. For example:
- The person's details are not part of the Serraview people data. If Serraview does not have the details of a person, we cannot display them in Locator. If you experience this then, contact your System Administrator.
- Locator identifies people by comparing their user name to the value of their user name in the People details. If there is not an exact match, we cannot accurately display a person in Locator. If you experience this then, contact your System Administrator.
- Anonymous sensor data could indicate that the space is occupied.
When using Locator with Manual Occupancy
This can be caused by a variety of reasons. For example:
- The person's details are not part of the Serraview people data. If Serraview does not have the details of a person, we cannot display them in Locator. If you experience this then, contact your System Administrator.
