SPS Windows Location Pop-up
Users may notice a recurring location icon or pop‑up while using the SPS application on Windows devices. This notification is triggered by Windows operating system privacy controls, not by SPS or SVLive.
From Windows 11 version 24H2 onward, Windows displays a location indicator whenever applications access certain WiFi related system APIs, which are treated as location services. SPS periodically polls these APIs as part of normal operation, causing Windows to display the location icon. This behavior is entirely controlled by the Windows OS and cannot be modified or suppressed by SPS. It is expected behavior on newer Windows versions and is part of Windows privacy and transparency features.
