Undoing Drawing Edits
You may make a drawing edit and then decide that you want to cancel it. You use the AutoCAD Standard toolbar menu Undo icon to cancel drawing edits.
When you click the arrow next to the Undo icon in the AutoCAD Standard toolbar, the list shows the actions that Undo will make, such as Undo Insert if you just deleted a block, or Undo Line if you just drew a line.
You can execute Undo a number of times even if the drawing has been saved, up until it is no longer available on the menu.
If you want to cancel a change you made with Undo, click the arrow next to the Redo icon on the Standard toolbar, and select the action from the list.

To undo the previous drawing edits
-
From the AutoCAD Standard toolbar, click the list arrow next to the Undo icon. The list shows the previous effects that it can undo, such as “Undo Line.” Click the action you want to undo.
To cancel the effects of an execution of Undo
-
From the AutoCAD Standard toolbar, click the Redo icon. This reverses the effects of the previous Undo.
-
To see a list of actions that can be redone, click the arrow next to the Redo icon. This list shows the changes that were previously undone to show what effect clicking it will have. Often it will take the form of “Group of commands” since a single command action is often a set of steps—particularly with the Archibus Archibus Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD in action, since these programs often add steps behind the scenes to keep the database and drawing in synch.
