Archibus Foundations: Self-Service User

Self-service users (employees or building guests) use Archibus Workplace to:

  • request maintenance
  • request building services, such as copying or key access
  • make other types of requests particular to your company
  • request meeting spaces and working spaces (requires Reservations SaaS module license)
  • request an employee move (requires Space SaaS module license)
  • search for rooms and locate them on floor plans
  • search for employees and locate their assigned offices on a floor plan
  • search for a department and examine on a floor plan all the space assigned to this department

Self-service users can access Archibus Workplace in several ways. For example:

  • An employee or building guest can scan the QR code from a room or equipment label. This is handy for reporting a problem with the room or equipment.
  • A building guest can access Workplace from a lobby kiosk to locate an employee or room. For example, an HVAC contractor might want to look up the location of the utility room.
  • At any time, an employee or building guest can use a provided URL.

Learning to Use Archibus Workplace

Workplace is a self-service application designed with an intuitive interface and the self-service user does not need to consult online help topics to learn how to use the product. Self-service users can watch a series of videos that overview the features of Archibus Workplace. See:
