Space Planning Compared to Advanced Forecasting

Both the Advanced Forecasting and Space Planning applications offer:

• the Space & Portfolio Planning Console
• Space Requirement definition task
• the Portfolio Comparison, Proposed Moves, and Gap Analysis reports

Users of the Space Planning application typically focus on building-scale planning, whereas the Advanced Forecasting users focus on portfolio-scale planning.

Advanced Forecasting additionally offers the Cost Forecasting process , with which you can:

• develop a cost forecasting and chargeback system based on a building's real costs
• review cost breakdown charts to analyze costs and trace them to each line of business
• review portfolio cost analysis reports to support decision-making

If a customer has Advanced Forecasting, they do not need Space Planning.
