Objective

Violations of the safety program requirements--such as not replacing PPE, working at jobs employees are not physically able to handle, or handling substances without the proper training --can compromise employee safety, endanger co-workers, disrupt production, lower productivity, and result in fines from regulatory agencies. Therefore, it is vital that all employees meet their safety program requirements.

An automated email system in which employees are reminded of upcoming safety requirements supports the goal of meeting safety requirements because it ensures that:

• employees are aware of these requirements and must take responsibility to fulfill them.
• employees schedule time out of their daily work to meet these requirements
• managers do not need to explicitly remind employees of upcoming requirements

Solution

To meet this notification need, the Archibus Health & Safety system provides an employee email notification system.

With this system, employees can receive automatic notification by email that they have upcoming safety program requirements for:

• workplace-required medical appointments
• workplace training
• delivery of PPE
