Notifications
OnSite technicians need to be alerted to the status of existing work, as well as new work that might be assigned to them throughout the day. OnSite users can receive notifications for events such as:
- new comments
- comments in which they are tagged
- work request status changes
- escalated work requests
- new assigned work
As a user of OnSite you can set up your notifications.
Managers
The manager can review notifications in Web Central by running the View Notifications Log task and they can control the updates for which users receive notifications.
As work changes status or new work comes in, the technician receives notification updates in the banner at the top of the screen; or, if he is not yet logged in he sees them on the device. At any time, the technician can review all notifications by moving to the Notifications screen.
Review All Notifications
Tap the Notifications icon at the bottom of the OnSite screen. If you have a new notification, a blue dot displays next to the icon.
When the Notifications screen displays and you can swipe down to review all the notifications.
Tap a notification to move to the related work request.
Delete Notifications
As notifications accumulate, you may want to delete them individually or all notifications.
Delete an Individual Notification
On the notification you want to delete, swipe to the left and then tap the Delete icon. The notification is deleted.
Delete all Notifications
Tap the More Actions icon and then tap the Delete all notifications option.
The message, "Are you sure you want to delete all notifications?" displays, tap the Yes button.
