Define Credit Categories for Certification Standards
Once you enter the certification standard into the system, you must enter the standard's credit categories -- that is, the broad grouping to which individual credits are assigned. Consult your standard's documentation to determine the credit categories that you must enter. Also, be sure to note if your certification standard assigns different weights to each credit category to reflect perceived importance, as this weighting factor must be entered as well.
- Review your standard's documentation for background on the credit categories for your certification standard.
- Select Define Credit Categories.
- Choose the Certification Standard for which you want to define credit categories.
- Choose Add New.
-
In the right pane, complete the following fields:
Category ID Enter a value to identify this credit category to the system, such as WW for the Waste Water category of the LEED standard or MAT for the Materials category of the BREEAM standard. Category Enter a descriptive name of the credit category.
Weighting Factor If your standard assigns a weighting factor to each category, enter the weighting factor as decimal. For example, if you are using BREEAM, the standard may call for a 6 percent weighting factor for a water category and a 10 percent weighting factor on a pollution category. For these categories, you would complete this field with values of .06 and .10.
For standards that do not use a weighting factor, such as LEED, enter 1.0 for all categories.
Sort Order If you wish Archibus tasks to display your categories in a certain order (for example, to match a certification checklist), you can enter a number representing this order in this field. For example, if you want this category to always be listed second, enter 2. If you want to use a default sort order, that is an alphabetical sort order, do not edit this field.
