Touring the Web Central Workspace

Web Central presents a sidebar navigation panel on the left, from which you select the content you wish to see. The content displays in the workspace on the right.

Depending on the logged-in user, holds:

  • view name
  • company logo
  • User Help button -- loads the Archibus User Help in its own window
  • Favorites button
  • User menu
  • Select Home Page menu

Workspace Right

When you make a selection from the sidebar, Archibus displays the content in this space and replaces the currently-loaded view or home page.

The View Header

The components of the view header are detailed below:

From left to right, the components of the view header are:

View header component Description
module or application icon In the Navigator, each module or application displays an icon. The view header repeats this icon so that you immediately know the module or application from which you accessed the view
view title When Archibus loads the task you selected, it displays the view title here.
company logo

You can display a company logo in this area.

To replace the default logo file with your own company logo use the System / Archibus Administrator - Application Configuration / Edit Logo task.

User Help button Loads Archibus User Help in a new browser window.
Favorites button Adds or removes the current view to or from the Favorites menu. See Working with Favorites .
User menu

This menu holds the My Profile command and basic information about your session. See:

Home Page menu

If you are assigned multiple home pages, this menu displays the list of all available home pages and underlines the currently-loaded home page. From here, you can choose another home page to load.

If you have only one home page assigned, the view header does not display this icon. You return to your home page using the Home command in the sidebar.
