Understand your Role


As a Web Central user, you will find that the tasks that you require have been assigned to you and will appear on your Navigator.

These tasks can range from: reserving rooms, allocating space, creating capital budgets, reviewing leases, reporting maintenance problems, managing moves, reviewing building performance, and much more.

  • Archibus Web Central
    Archibus Web Central organizes facilities and infrastructure management tasks in an intuitive Web browser interface. All infrastructure data is stored in a centralized repository so that authorized users from anywhere in the world can enter, edit, and monitor this data. Users can review and edit only data appropriate to their role within the company. Web Central is available for Archibus SaaS deployments, as well as part of the Archibus non-SaaS offering .
  • Sign into Archibus Web Central
    Learn how to sign into Archibus Web Central.
  • Change your Preferences and Password (My Profile command)
    Learn how to change the color scheme, navigation, locale, and units of measurement. If you have enabled the Archibus Enhanced Global Feature Set, your User Locale selection on the My Profile form determines the Default Currency. Additionally, you can change your password.
  • Set the Locale and Language
    To accommodate users from around the world, Archibus multiple locales and languages .
  • Home Pages
    For the various roles and users in an organization, an Archibus administrator can design home pages that offer information focused on this type of user. Home pages list important metrics, statistics, and alerts so that you can quickly determine the state of your issues and critical issues. Home pages display in the workspace area to the right of the sidebar navigation panel. When you sign in to Archibus, it loads the Home Page based on your account.
  • Sidebar Navigation Panel
    Learn about the sidebar navigation panel which contains the Home, Search, Favorites, Navigator, and Shortcuts.
  • The Navigator
    The Navigator organizes the data development and reporting tasks of a particular facilities management business area. Use the Navigator to access the data development tasks, reports, charts, and floor plans required for your particular role in the organization. The Navigator is available in Web Central, Smart Client, and the Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD, although the appearance varies in each program. In all programs, it presents a hierarchy for accessing data and tasks.
  • Loading Tasks (Views) from the Navigator
    For each application , the Navigator lists the tasks required to achieve a specific business result, such as developing a lease abstract report. With security in effect, your Navigator will display only tasks and processes relevant to your role within the organization.
