Create Service Catalog
If you are using Workplace with Service Desk, Reservations, or Hoteling, use the Workplace Services / Service Desk / Service Desk Manager / Create Service Catalog task to define request types.
Compared to the Manage Request Types task , the Create Service Catalog task contains additional fields that are used in Workplace, but are not used when working with the Service Desk application without Workplace integration. This includes:
- the hierarchy field
- the ability to create parent and child types
- title, instructions, and keywords that appear in Workplace
Note : Specifying questionnaires is only available in the Manage Request Types task . If you want to include questions on a request type that appears in Workplace, first define the request type with this task. Next, use the Manage Request Types task to locate the request type and add questions.
