Entering Official Scores from a Certification Effort

When a certification organization reviews your application and assesses your building, it will provide you with the scores for each credit. Many sites like to enter these official scores (also known as final scores) into the Archibus system.

There are a few reasons to do so:

  • You have an electronic recording of your results. You can then use these scores as a reference when determining the changes that you must implement in order to move to the next level of certification.
  • You can compare your official scores to the self-score values and analyze how closely your self-scores match the official scores. If you find that your self-scores are more generous than your official scores, you might need to re-evaluate your self-score process.

When entering your official scores, you will want to also update your rating project with your status change and other information about the results. See Updating a Rating Project

To enter your official scores:

  1. Select Enter Scores .
  2. In the left panes, select your rating project and the credit category containing the credit for which you want to enter the official score.
  3. In the right top pane, choose the credit or sub-credit for which you want to enter the official score.
  4. Using the official scores returned by the certifying agency, in the bottom right pane, complete these fields:
  5. Official Score Enter the value received from the certification organization
Score Notes Enter any notes about this particular item. For example, if the certifying organization provided feedback about how they determined this particular score, you can enter it here.
  1. Save your changes.
  2. Repeat this process to enter the scores for all credits and subcredits for all categories.
  3. When you have finished entering credits and subcredits, choose Update Totals . The system totals your subcredit values, updates the corresponding credits, sums the official scores for the entire rating project, and displays this data in the upper right pane.
