Healthcare / Healthcare Facility Manager / Facilities Console

Use the Filter to Search for Data and Floor Plans

To help you find the data that you require, use the Facilities Console's search features to restrict the data displayed by the Console. Use the More/Less button to display and hide an additional set of search criteria. In the below image, the user has activated the More button to display additional options.

Hide and display the filter

Once you set a filter to your desired data set, you will likely work with this data set and not immediately require the filter. Hide and display the filter by clicking the Maximize/Minimize button located above the floor plan. For example, the below image shows the filter hidden with the Minimize button active.

To display a floor plan

  1. Clear any existing search.

  2. Enter the building and floor by typing their values in the Building and Floor fields or by choosing the values from the drop-down lists.

  3. The Facilities Console loads the corresponding floor plan drawing (if available).

  4. As you move through the tabs of the Facilities Console, the grids will show the records associated with the building and floor you selected. For example, the Equipment grid will show only equipment assigned to rooms on the selected floor.

  5. You can further restrict the grid data using the Smart Search console for an individual grid, or by using the More button to access additional filter options. For example, you might search on Fire Rating so that you can see equipment of a certain fire rating in the Equipment grid.

To display a floor plan and restricted grid data

You can use the More options as part of your initial search to restrict the data of the grids. The grids will include only the records that match the values you enter in the More options.

  1. Clear any existing search.

  2. Enter the building and floor by typing their values in the Building and Floor fields or by choosing the values from the drop-down lists.

  3. Click the More button and enter the additional search fields. For example, complete Equipment Standard.

  4. The Facilities Console loads the corresponding floor plan drawing (if available).

  5. As you move through the tabs of the Facilities Console, the grids will show the records associated with the building and floor you selected, and will reflect the restriction entered with the More options. For example, if you completed Equipment Standard with MED-HOSPITAL-BED-A, the Rooms grid shows only rooms containing equipment of this standard. Likewise, the Equipment gird shows only equipment of this standard, and the Maintenance grid shows only work requests for this type of equipment.

  6. If necessary, you can further restrict the grid data using the Smart Search console for an individual grid, or by using the More button to access additional filter options. For example, you might search on Fire Rating so that you can see in the Equipment grid the equipment of this standard that has a certain fire rating.

To search for data without loading a floor plan

When working with the Facilities Console, you will most likely want to load a floor plan by completing Building Code and Floor Code. However, it is possible to enter search criteria that applies only to the grids. Without values for the Building Code and Floor Code fields, the Console will not load a floor plan drawing. For example, you can use the More options to search for a particular work request or employee

  1. Clear any previous filter

  2. Click More and enter the desired search criteria.

  3. You will receive a message that a floor plan cannot be loaded. This is because you did not specify a building or floor.

  4. The grids will reflect the restriction. For example, if you searched by Employee the Rooms grid will show the room assigned to the employee (if an assignment exists).
