Highlight Floor Plans by Plan Type

Plan types are different views of your floor plan that use specific highlight, labels, and legends. When you select a plan type, the Space Console uses the highlight, label, and legend defined for that plan type, so you do not need to work with the Highlights and Labels feature. When you select a plan type, the Highlight and Labels buttons are unavailable on the drawing ribbon.

Note : This feature is not supported when you access the Space Console from Foundations.

Archibus ships with the following pre-defined plan types

  • Department
  • Category
  • Room Standard
  • Occupancy
  • Vacancy

For information on setting your own plan types, see Define Plan Types .

To highlight by plan type

  1. Access the View Settings form by clicking the gear-shaped icon in the right corner above the floor plan pane.

  2. In the resulting View Settings form, check the option for Show Floor Plan Highlights. This adds the star-shaped Plan Types icon, indicated in the above image, to the floor plan panel.

  3. Click the star-shaped Plan Types icon to access the Plan Type Highlight form, which presents the list of plan types.

  4. Select the desired plan type from the Plan Type Highlight form.

  5. The floor plan displays the plan type highlight.
