Scheduling Events - Overview

Objective

Regulations have requirements which consist of actions that must be completed on time. For example, permits and licenses need to be renewed, and fire alarm systems might need to be tested annually. These scheduled actions are referred to as events . Typically, events follow a recurring schedule, but some regulations have requirements that are not predictable. For example, a stormwater drain regulation could require drain inspection throughout your property after rainfall exceeds a specified number of inches within a specified number of days. In this case, the inspection would be scheduled as a non-recurring event around the time of the expected heavy rain. The Compliance Program Manager needs to schedule, track, and manage both recurring and non-recurring events, and to reschedule events when circumstances change.

Solution

The Compliance application enables you to generate scheduled events using a recurring schedule, to flexibly add non-recurring events as needed, and to reschedule events and update events.
