Archibus Smart Client Extension for Revit

Clear Archibus Data from Model

The situation may arise that a model is no longer going to be used with Archibus, and you wish to remove all Archibus data from the model file. Removing Archibus data is especially useful since models are typically a centralized singular file that you might link into a number of different applications.

The command clears all the model data; it does not apply to specific elements, such as selecting a set of equipment and clearing the data from just these objects.

Command Location

Archibus ribbon / Synchronization Clear Archibus Data from Model

Procedure

  1. Select the command from the drop down list.

  2. You receive a form with the following options:

    Option Archibus does the following
Clear data from all Revit elements

For all elements in the model that have non-null values for Archibus properties, sets them to null or an empty string. In other words, set all existing asset parameter values to null or an empty string.

    Remove Archibus-specific properties

Removes the properties from the per-category models.

For example, after you run this command and select a room in the model, the Properties command will not list Room Category, Room Standard, Room Type, Division Code, and Department Code values.

    Remove building and floor IDs

Clears the per-level extended data in the model.

Removes the Building Code and Floor Code options on the Model Properties form. Disables the Archibus ribbon.

  3. Select the appropriate options and click Remove.

  4. The selected data is cleared from the model.
