Management Console

In the Projects application, the Management Console provides you with a tool to facilitate the execution of projects. After selecting a project, you can use the buttons in the Management Console to manage many of the execution tasks for the selected project.

The Management Console has six process tabs: Plan, Procure, Communicate, Schedule, Adjust, and Cost. Each tab displays a variety of buttons that are unique to the process. In addition, there are some buttons that are common to all tabs. The unique tabs are displayed in blue and the common tabs are displayed in green.

Many of the tasks that appear in the Management Console also appear in the Navigator. For example, many of the buttons in the Plan and Procure tabs correspond with Navigator tasks for these processes. This means that in many cases you can choose whether to use the Navigator or the Management Console to perform a task related to project execution.
