Procedure

1. Select the System / Localization Manager / Read or Write Translatable Tables task.
2. From the Language list, select the target language. If this is a new language, you must add it to the \WEB-INF\config\context\compatibility\afm-config.xml file, and then add the record to the Languages table. See About the Language Selection . See About the Language Selection .
3. Select the tables to include. See Translatable Tables in the Project Database.
4. When writing, you can select to update only records that do not have a translation. Selecting this option enables you to preserve existing translations (records that currently have a value in the Translation field).
5. Click the Read Tables or Write Tables button.

   If you read tables, the Tables affected by read section refreshes to show the number of records read for each table.

   If you write tables, The Tables affected by write section, refreshes to show the number of records written.
