Two-panel Reports and Forms
Many tasks display drill-down reports and forms. In these views, the left panel of the task view displays a list of items that are links. When you select an item in the left panel, the right panel displays the associated report or form. This lets you quickly access the data you need, and you do not have to scroll through pages of data to find the information you are looking for.
In many cases, a view displays drill-down reports and forms together with a filter console, so that you can restrict the amount of data that is listed in the left panel. For more information, see the Using a Filter Console topic.
Note
: If
a particular report -- or a frame of a report -- has no data to present,
it will display as "No items." This
may be because there is a restriction or
Virtual Private Archibus (VPA)
restriction
in place. You can use the View Definition Wizard or My Profile forms,
if available, to see if there is a parsed restriction or a building or
site VPA restriction in place.
You may also wish to consult your facility
information manager to see if there is an SQL restriction or a specialized
type of VPA restriction in place. For
views where this information is essential, your business process owner may wish to add statistics
at the top of the view that show the total number of records as well as
the number displayed to give this context.
