Licensing and Security for New Mobile Apps
When you establish your own mobile app, consider these points:
- You must assign the new app to security groups in the afm_mobile_apps table. Then, only users who are assigned to these security groups will see the new app listed on their mobile device. You can add the security group when adding the record for the new app in the afm_mobile_apps table. See Adding a New App to the App Launcher.
- For Archibus apps, the system checks if the user has a license for a corresponding Web Central application. See Configuring Archibus Mobile Apps - Archibus Administrator . If you create a new app and it does not have one of the "mobile" security groups, Web Central will not verify that the corresponding activity is licensed.
