Entering Other Emissions
Use the Other Emissions tab to enter emissions from any activity not covered elsewhere, or which has already been computed into metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent ( MTCO 2 Eq .)
For example, you might have emissions measurements for past years if you have been tracking carbon footprint using tools provided by the EPA or the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Initiative. Entering this data as Other Emissions would enable you to compare total carbon footprint values for a building over time without re-entering all the data for all the scopes into Archibus.
The Other Emissions task is also useful when you have only emissions data for consumption that is tracked on other tabs of the Enter Building Footprint Data task. For example, if a contractor or vendor has provided the carbon cost to you in CO 2 equivalent, rather than the miles they drove or equipment they operated on your behalf, you can use the Other Emissions tab to enter the data.
To add other Emissions:
- Select Carbon Footprint - Track / Enter Building Footprint Data .
- From the Building Footprints panel, select the building and calculation year for which you are entering consumption data.
- Select the Indirect Emissions ( Scope 3 ) tab.
- Select the Other Emissions tab. If this tab is not visible, you might need to use the arrow button next to the tab on the right to scroll the tab row.
-
Enter the following data:
- Source: Enter the greenhouse gas this emissions is measuring.
- Enter the emissions from this source as Metric Tons of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent (MTCO 2 Eq. )
- Click Save.
