Requesting Projects (Process Overview)
After background data has been set up, projects can be requested. Requesting a project is the first step to getting a project approved. You can edit project information until the facilities manager routes the project for approval.

Procedures
When requesting a project, you work through the following tasks:
- Request Projects : Create a project request that you can submit for approval, or save to complete and submit it later. See Requesting a Project.
- View My Projects : View projects with a status of Created or Requested. You will receive email notification when a project you have requested is approved or rejected. See Editing and Viewing Project Requests.
- Edit My Project: Edit projects with a status of Created or Requested. Once the request is routed for approval, you can no longer edit it. See Editing and Viewing Project Requests.
- Add or Edit Programs: Optionally. you can associate projects with capital programs that you set up according to the major categories for your capital budget. For example, you could set up capital programs such as Administrative, Interior Systems, Elevators, or Lighting. See Adding Capital Programs.
- Add or Edit Programs by Type: Optionally, from the Projects application only, you can enter capital programs by their program type. See Adding Capital Programs.
- Copy Assessment Actions to Projects : If you are currently using the Archibus Conditions Assessment application, you can add Conditions Assessment actions to any project request. You can add a selected subset of actions or all of the actions that are contained within the Condition Assessment. See Adding Condition Assessment Actions.
- Add or Edit Actions: While you are setting up a project request, you may want to add some of the individual actions that are part of the project, such as painting the walls or replacing windows. You can also add a template of project actions. See Adding Project Request Actions.
