BIM Execution Plan: Maintenance
You can enable the maintenance business functions by specifying that the following properties are part of any BIM model delivered:
Property | Description |
---|---|
Mark |
The identification of the equipment for the equipment schedule. In GSA BIM Guide terms this is the Equipment Identification. |
Equipment Code |
The asset number used to track the equipment number in its lifecycle. This is either the ID from your asset management system or the serial number. In GSA BIM Guide terms, this is the Equipment Primary Key. |
Building, Floor, and Room Code |
The room in which the equipment item resides, if any. In GSA BIM Guide terms, this is the Space Primary Key. |
Equipment Standard |
This is the class of equipment. The Equipment Standard connects the equipment item to its maintenance manuals and PM Procedures and Steps. This value is database-driven, meaning that if a contractor or facility enters the Equipment Standard, that takes precedence |
The information above mainly links the graphical asset to the database record, as either the contractor (during commissioning) or facilities department (during operation) is the source of record for the equipment details and maintenance information.
