Working with Data in Grid Views: Basic Skills
Facilities information can be represented spatially in CAD drawings as well as alphanumerically as records in a project database. This section explores how Archibus works with alphanumeric information stored in a database, and how Archibus presents database information using grid views . It also covers the skills required for editing tables in the project database: editing several types of database fields, and creating and deleting records.
The section covers the basics of working with database tables presented in grid windows.
- For information on customizing grid views -- such as controlling the fields that display or the sort order -- see Customizing Data Display Overview.
- For information on accessing any database table to work with, see Access Any Database Table by Creating a New Grid View.
