Create a View Manually from the View Definition Patterns
Create a View Manually from the View Definition Patterns
To assemble a new view from standard view components, you may wish to use the : System > Add-in Manager> Run View Definition Wizard . The Wizard will guide you through a series of steps, first selecting the view components, layout, and then choosing data fields.
View Definition patterns may also be copied and altered manually. Standard patterns for Report views, Summary Report views and Edit views can be found in the Navigator under Technologies> Business Process Owner Views> View Definition Patterns . The associated files are located under
/schema/ab-core/system-administration/view-definition/view-patterns
All of the views displayed in the Technologies section of the Navigator may be copied and used as patterns for custom views. These views are discussed in detail under "User Interface Extensions" and "Advanced User Interface Extensions" sections of System Management Help. The view files can be found in the file system under :
/schema/ab-products/solutions
When copying material from existing view files, be sure to rename all data source and panel ids to make them unique for your new view, as duplicate ids may cause errors when multiple views coexist in a dashboard layout.
For instructions on naming view files, see Naming AXVW View Files
