Displaying 3D Enterprise Graphics in the Space Console

If your site works with Revit 3D models and you have published a 3D model as enterprise graphics , the Space Console can display the 3D plan using the 3D Navigator .

Tip : In the sample HQ project, floors in building NB have 3D enterprise graphics and are handy for exploring this feature.

Note : This features is not available when working with the Space Console from Foundations.

Loading 3D Enterprise Graphics

  1. Select a floor from the Space Console's floors list; if a 3D enterprise graphics exist for this floor, the Space Console activates the Show 3D button. If you do not have 3D enterprise graphics for the selected floor, the Show 3D button is displayed in gray and is not selectable.

  2. Click the Show 3D button, and the Space Console hides the currently displayed floor plans (if displayed) and loads the 3D Navigator, which presents the 3D enterprise graphics for the selected floor.
  3. Once the 3D enterprise graphics are loaded, the Show 3D button toggles to Show 2D so that you can access a floor plan drawing.
  4. You can load additional floor is the 3D Navigator as follows:
    • If you now select from the Space Console's Location list other floors for this building and these floors have 3D enterprise graphics, the Space Console adds these floor to the 3D Navigator.
    • If you select a floor in this same building and the floor does not have 3D enterprise graphics, the Space Console displays a message.
    • If you select a floor in a different building, the Space Console displays a message: Please close floors from the current building in order to select floors from a different building.

The system checks for 3D enterprise graphics files for the selected floor by looking in the AFM Enterprise Graphics table for records of type "3DBIN" for the building-level space hierarchy values of the selected floor.
