Updating Users and Employees

After setting up background data, you must ensure that the user information and email addresses are up-to-date in the Employees table and Users table. This is important because you need to make sure that all Capital Budgeting users are able to log into Archibus and that they will receive the correct Capital Budgeting email notifications.

If you are an existing Archibus user, you may have already developed some of your employee and user data.

Entering User Data

You can develop the Employees and Users tables using the Web Central Capital Budgeting application. You can synchronize your updated User data with your Employee data.

After adding new users, make sure to assign the users the processes specific to their Capital Budgeting roles. For more information, see Assigning Processes to Users.

User Emails

The users who will be receiving emails include project requestors, facilities managers, and approving managers. Make sure to include employees and contractors in both the Users and Employees tables. For more information on email notifications, see Understanding Email Notifications.

Notifying New Users of their User IDs and Passwords

After adding new users to the Users and Employees tables, it is important to send emails to the new users. The email should include the new user's Archibus Web Central User ID and password.
