Import Localization Extract Files

After entering translations in an extract file, you can import the extract to update the Localization tables with the translations prior to publishing your translations to the Translatable tables in the project database. See Localization Process.

Procedure

  1. Select the System / Localization Manager / Export or Import Localization Extract Files task.
  2. If necessary, select the target language. See About the Language Selection .
  3. Click Import or Compare Extract Files.

    The Transfer screen appears.

  4. Select Transfer In (to import the file), or Compare (to compare the file to the database before importing it), and click Continue. If you select Transfer In, you can also select to generate a Comparison report on the next screen.
  5. Select Browse to locate the extract file that you have added translations to. If you are importing the file, you can select to also generate Comparison reports.
  6. Click Begin Transfer.
  7. The import begins and/or the Comparison report is generated. The Transfer Progress tab shows the progress of the import. When the import is completed, the URLs for the Comparison reports (Update, Insert, and Error logs if there are any errors) appear in the bottom section of the screen. You can right-click the URL and select Save Target As to save the file to your local drive. Or, select the URL and choose to open or save the file.
