Compliance Program Managers and Coordinators Reviewing a Calendar of Scheduled Events

Objective

Compliance Program Managers need to continually track scheduled events to ensure they are completed on time. Viewing events and their status on a calendar is an important method for managing compliance events. When viewing the events that are due it is also important to know their status, priority, or type. For example, is the event in progress, has it been placed on hold, or has it been canceled? How many high priority events must be completed in the coming months? How many inspections or permit renewals require completion in the next few weeks?

While Compliance Program Managers need to monitor all events, Compliance Program Coordinators need to track only the events for which they are responsible.

Solution

The Compliance Program Manager reviews events on a calendar by week, month, or year and highlighted by status , priority , or type , depending on the selection made. The calendar shows events by their Date Completion Required. The highlighting shows missed or overdue events in red when highlighting by status, or critical, high priority events in red when highlighting by priority. The legend describes the highlighting for all statuses or priorities shown.

The Compliance Coordinator also views the calendar, but the calendar shows only events that are assigned to the coordinator, either directly or through the event’s requirement or program.

Procedure

  1. Access one of the following tasks:
    • View My Events Calendar. Compliance Program Coordinators use this task to show only the events for which they are responsible. That is, the Compliance Program Manager is entered as the Responsible Person for the event or for the event's requirement or compliance program.
    • Show Compliance Events Calendar: Compliance Program Managers use this task to view all events.
  2. From these tasks, you can:
  • View events on the calendar color-coded by event status , requirement priority , or requirement type , if you are maintaining this information. The legend describes the mapping of the highlighting.
  • Use the Filter console to show only specific events.
  • Click on an event to edit it.
