Approved Commissioning Specifications

Once a design submission has been developed to 100% approval and has been approved using the Approve Documentation button, it can be used as a construction checklist or a testing procedure in the Construction process. By default, the Approved Commissioning Specification task shows approved action items with an action type of CX - Construction Checklist as long as the action has a document attached.

Commissioning Construction Checklists can be developed and implemented for your Commissioning specialty system broken down by materials and construction.

Once the checklists have been developed and provided to the Construction Contractor, the Commissioning Agent will review the completion of the checklists periodically during site visits. The Approved Commissioning Specification task provides easy access to these checklists.

From the Approved Commissioning Specifications task, you can:

  • Review construction checklists - approved commissioning specifications. By default, the task shows all actions with the Action Type CX - Construction Checklist that have a document attached and that are associated with a commissioning project (the Project Type equals Commissioning).
  • Edit actions for approved construction checklists. See Editing Information for Documentation Action Items.
  • Use a wizard to add new actions for construction checklists and attach the documents. See Adding Actions with Documents Attached.

To review approved commissioning specifications:

  1. Select the Capital Projects / Commissioning / Design / Approved Commissioning Documentation task.

    The Approved Commissioning Specifications pane shows all actions for commissioning projects that have an Action Type of CX - Construction Checklists, and that have a document attached.

  1. If needed, you can filter by location, work package, Project Manager, or specific project. Enter criteria in the Filter console, and click Show.
  2. To review documents for a particular project, select the project from the Select Commissioning Project pane.
  3. In the Approved Commissioning Specifications pane, select the name of the document in the Document column.
  4. Select to open the document or to save it to your computer.

    The document opens.

  5. Review the document.
