Viewing Notification Logs for Metrics

Archibus Add-In Managers can review the log of notifications for metrics by using the following view. This view shows only notification messages for metrics.

To enable you to verify or report on historical information, the application associates an afm_notification_log entry for the metric that generated the email message. Using this view, you can verify that the email message was sent, the date and time it was sent, and to whom the message was sent.

To show an audit trail for sent messages from different applications, the application tracks which application or module generated the messages.

In addition to the Application ID, the afm_notifications_log table has the following fields to accomplish this:

• source_name (Source Name): The name of the source application or module (Compliance, Metrics, etc.)
• source_id (Source ID): Source-specific identifier, such as a Primary Key. Multi-part keys can be separated with semicolons.
