Archibus Layers Table
Archibus Layers Table
The Archibus Layers table defines the layers in the layer convention . When working with a drawing, if you choose a layer that exists in the convention but not in the drawing, the program queries this table to create the layer.
You can access this table from the Smart Client at: System / Add-In Manager / Edit Drawing List .
Field | Description |

Drawing Layer |
Specifies the name of the layer in the CAD drawing. |
Layer Title |
Describes the title of the layer as it will appear in the program's dialog boxes. |
Layer Color |
For new layers created with the Select Layers command, specifies the CAD color number of the layer. To change layer colors for existing layers, edit the drawings in a CAD package such as AutoCAD. |
Layer Linetype |
For new layers created with the Select Layers command, provides the default line type for layers, as specified in the Linetype File field in the Archibus Schema Preferences table . To change layer linetypes for existing layers, edit the drawings in a CAD package such as AutoCAD. |
Default Asset Type |
Specifies the default asset type to which you want to connect entities created on this layer. Users can override this default with the Set Type command. |
Redefined Name |
This field is not currently used. |
Color
To specify a layer color, you enter a number representing a CAD color. The standard colors are:
- 1 Red
- 2 Yellow
- 3 Green
- 4 Cyan
- 5 Blue
- 6 Magenta
- 7 White (Black, if your background color is white).
