Health & Safety Employee Review: Overview
As a general employee of the company, you may need to access information about how the company's safety program relates specifically to you. You may wish to periodically check this information on your own. Or if the notification system has been established, you will receive email when a safety program requirement is due. You can then use these tasks to review the details of the upcoming events.
With the Employee Review process, you can review and take responsibility for many aspects of your own safety program. For example:
- You can review pending training programs and medical monitoring events , as well as PPE replacement and delivery schedules. With this information, you are informed of your safety-related data and you can allot time in your work schedule for required for training, medical exams, and PPE delivery.
- Once events occur, you can check any information that the safety officer recorded and resolve any discrepancies that may arise. Carefully noting your safety-related issues and agreeing with how your company recorded them can be important for filing disability claims or workers' compensation claims for injuries sustained on the job.
- If you have medical condition that restricts you from performing certain tasks or if you have been involved in a workplace mishap (incident), you can also review this information.
