Define Custodian Types
Throughout an asset's lifecycle, it may have different custodians and owner custodians who serve as points of contact and are associated with the asset.
Sample types of custodians are:
- planner
- inventory controller
- IT manager
- hazmat manager
- owner (used to indicate an owner custodian ). Note that when you create a new project database, the database automatically includes this value in the Custodian Types table.
The Custodian Types table defines the types of custodians used at your site. Complete this table with the types of custodians that your site uses (such as IT custodians, Receiving custodians, Finance custodians). These values will be available for selection when you assign a non-owner custodian to an asset. When you assign an owner custodian to an asset, the system automatically sets the Custodian Type to Owner.
